After you sign the Independent Contractor Agreement:

Now that you have signed your ICA and paid the join fee, it's time to transfer your license to Real! 

Existing Licensees

To transfer your existing license to Real, follow these steps:

• Reach out to your current brokerage to have them mail your license to the New Mexico Real Estate Commission (NMREC). Note that your current license must be returned to the Real Estate Commission before the License Transfer Application can be processed, unless the current license status is “inactive".
• Next you will complete the New Mexico Real Estate Commission Universal Form that will be sent to you by your Onboarding Coordinator via Real Signature for completion - check for an email from emails@therealbrokerage.com. 
• When the form is completed and signed by you and your Designated Broker, you will need to login to your NMPlus Account online portal to upload this form along with the $20.00 Affiliations fee and Real Broker’s E&O Binder copy. 

New Licensees

To apply for a new real estate license online, follow these steps:

• Licensing requirements (including Fingerprinting) can be found at NMREC LICENSING SERVICES.
• Complete the New Mexico Supervisory Broker Form sent to you via Real Signature from your Onboarding Coordinator.
• Complete the Licensing Application process via the NMREC online portal.
  • Login to your NMPlus account. htps://nmrldlpi.my.site.com/bcd/s/login/?language=en_US Your username is your email address on file with the Commission. Select’ Forgot password if you don’t recall your password. Please check your “junk folder” if you don’t receive your password reset email. Issues logging in or missing a license, email rld.rehelpdesk@rld.nm.gov for assistance.

• • Select Apply for a License at the top of the page, then select Boards and Commission Division.

  • A list of all boards/commissions will appear. Select Real Estate Commission. The  boards/commission names are listed in alphabetical order. To quickly get to the Real Estate Commission, type in REAL in the search bar, then Select.

• • You will select the type of application you want to start from the application menu (shown below). The application selected will provide additional screens once in the application. Upload the completed and signed Universal Form the Onboarding Coordinator sent to you via RealSignature upon receipt of your Real join application. Please note that all NMREC applications with an active status require Errors and Omissions (E&O) insurance coverage.

After completing the above steps:

Your license status MUST show as ACTIVE under REAL Broker, LLC on the NMREC online portal in order to be converted to Active in our systems, as well as for you to affiliate with your MLS/Board. It is your responsibility to join your local board.
