How do I transfer my New Mexico license to Real?

Welcome to Real!

Steps to become fully active at Real in New Mexico:

  1. Complete a Real Join Application
  2. Transfer Your License to Real
  3. Facilitate Your Board and MLS Transfers
  4. Update Your Marketing/Advertising
  5. Transfer Your Active Listings to Real
  6. Register for Training
  7. Join the Workvivo State Space

1️⃣ COMPLETE A REAL JOIN APPLICATION

Complete a Real Application by signing the Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA) and paying the Application Fee using the steps below.

You will need the following items to complete your application:

  • License Number(s) and Expiration Date(s)
  • MLS and Board information
  • Sponsor name and email
  • A photo of the front of your Driver’s License
  • Payment information for the Application Fee

***Remember your login credentials that you create during the Application since this will be your login information for reZEN once your application has been approved.

2️⃣ TRANSFER YOUR LICENSE TO REAL

Now that you have signed your ICA and paid the join fee, it's time to transfer your license to Real! 

Existing Licensees

To transfer your existing license to Real, follow these steps:

  • Reach out to your current brokerage to have them mail your license to the New Mexico Real Estate Commission (NMREC). Note that your current license must be returned to the Real Estate Commission before the License Transfer Application can be processed, unless the current license status is “inactive".
  • Next, you will have a pre-onboarding call with New Mexico Designated Broker Cassandra Morrison to complete the New Mexico Real Estate Commission Universal Form.
  • When the form is completed and signed by you and your Designated Broker, you will need to login to your NMPlus Account online portal to upload this form, along with the $20.00 Affiliations fee and Real Broker’s E&O Binder copy (which will be sent to you once you complete the Real join application.)

 

New Licensees

To apply for a new real estate license online, follow these steps:

  • Licensing requirements (including Fingerprinting) can be found at NMREC LICENSING SERVICES.
  • Complete the New Mexico Supervisory Broker Form sent to you via Real Signature from your Onboarding Coordinator.
  • Complete the Licensing Application process via the NMREC online portal.
    • Login to your NMPlus account. htps://nmrldlpi.my.site.com/bcd/s/login/?language=en_US Your username is your email address on file with the Commission. Select’ Forgot password if you don’t recall your password. Please check your “junk folder” if you don’t receive your password reset email. Issues logging in or missing a license, email rld.rehelpdesk@rld.nm.gov for assistance.

  • Select Apply for a License at the top of the page, then select Boards and Commission Division.
  • A list of all boards/commissions will appear. Select Real Estate Commission. The  boards/commission names are listed in alphabetical order. To quickly get to the Real Estate Commission, type in REAL in the search bar, then Select.

  • You will select the type of application you want to start from the application menu (shown below). The application selected will provide additional screens once in the application. Upload the completed and signed Universal Form the Onboarding Coordinator sent to you via RealSignature upon receipt of your Real join application. Please note that all NMREC applications with an active status require Errors and Omissions (E&O) insurance coverage.

 

 

After completing the above steps:

Your license status MUST show as ACTIVE under REAL Broker, LLC on the NMREC online portal in order to be converted to Active in our systems, as well as for you to affiliate with your MLS/Board. It is your responsibility to join your local board.

Already a Real agent? Please contact Real Support and our support team will add your license to your existing reZEN account.

 

3️⃣ FACILITATE YOUR MLS AND BOARD TRANSFERS

4️⃣ UPDATE YOUR MARKETING/ADVERTISING

Please review all New Mexico advertising requirements here:

NM State Requirements: In all instances of advertising in the state of New Mexico, an advertisement must include:

• Legal name of brokerage

• Agent’s license number is not required
• Agent’s phone number not required
• Brokerage phone number - 505-557-4976 or an office branch number registered with the NMREC.

• Brokerage’s office address not required

• While not mandatory, it is highly recommended to add Real’s logo for brand continuity.

• Brokerage trade name REAL Broker, LLC and Phone Number are registered with the commission and must be displayed in type size not less than 33% of the type size of the associate broker/team name

• In the event that disclosure of the brokerage name and telephone number as registered with the commission is not practical in electronic displays of limited information, such as thumbnails, text messages, links and tweets of 200 characters or less, such displays are exempt from the disclosure requirement provided such displays are linked to a display that includes all of the required disclosures. 5️⃣ TRANSFER YOUR ACTIVE LISTINGS TO REAL

If you are re-listing your active listing(s) with Real Broker, please submit forms electronically to nmbroker@therealbrokerage.com for signature using an electronic signature platform.

  2. Attend Real Transaction Training - Tuesdays and Thursdays @ 1PM ET to learn how to enter listings and transactions, understand the steps to getting paid, process referral payments, and properly terminate listings or transactions.
     
  3. Attend Navigating Real's Technology to learn how to effectively use Real Signature, Real Academy, and Workvivo to help you work smarter and more efficiently.
     
  4. Attend Marketing Training - Mondays @ 1PM ET to learn about the many marketing resources available to help you build your brand. 
     
  5. Attend Real's Benefits and Programs to understand what is offered and how to access benefits and programs exclusive to Real Agents.
     
  6. Attend Ways to Earn Income at Real to learn more about Real’s wealth-building opportunities like stock and equity, Elite Agent status, revenue share, and more.
     

7️⃣ JOIN THE WORKVIVO STATE SPACE

Workvivo is our online Real community hub for Real agents. Each State/Province has a Group space for you to to easily see updates and access meetings and resources. You can also join others groups to interact with other agents at Real, especially for referrals and tips.

9️⃣ DOWNLOAD THE REAL APP

To do so, go to www.joinreal.com/app on your mobile device. You’ll be prompted to download the app. You can also search for Real reZEN through the app store on your mobile device.

**Important, you will use the login information you created in Step 1 to log into your agent application.
