Now that you have signed your ICA and paid the join fee, it's time to transfer your license to Real! 

Existing Licensees

1. Complete and sign the transfer application. https://www.commerce.alaska.gov/web/Portals/5/pub/rec4951.pdf
   • Do NOT include your payment information on the form. You will pay securely online through the portal on your myalaska account.
2. Complete Broker Notice to Real Estate Commission of Licensee Termination: Broker Notice to Real Estate Commission of Licensee Termination .  The broker you are leaving needs to complete part 2. If you’re working in a branch office, the managing broker also needs to participate by completing part 3. This form shall be included with the other required documents. 
3. You will also need to include proof of E&O insurance. While Real provides firm-level E&O coverage, Alaska requires licensed agents to carry an individual (primary) E&O policy that meets state guidelines. Please see details here: Additional Required E&O Insurance.

6. FOR THE FASTEST TRANSFER; - 1.) Login to your “myalaska” account (the same one you use when you renew your license. 2.) Navigate to: Commerce > Corporations, Business, Professional licensing > My license > view details 3.) Scroll down to “Events” 4.) Select “Transfer (online.) 5.) Upload all applicable files and submit. 

7. Send copy of documents to onboarding@therealbrokerage.com  & akbroker@therealbrokerage.com please indicate the day in which you have submitted your documents to the state. 

**New Licensees

To apply for a new professional license online, follow these steps:

• Complete the Real Estate Salesperson Application by Examination form. You should complete all sections on pages 1 through 4 and sign on the signature page. If applicable, complete the Letter of Explanation for a Professional Fitness "Yes" Answer form. 

• Once you have completed pages 1 through 4, send the form to AKBroker@therealbrokerage.com for your new designated broker, Cody Phillips, to complete and sign section Employing Broker Information. 

• Once the Real Estate Salesperson Application by Examination form is fully complete by all parties, you will mail the application to the State of Alaska Real Estate Commission with all supporting documents outlined on page 1 of the Real Estate Salesperson Application by Examination Instructions and payment of the $390 fee using the Credit Card Payment Form. If possible, hand deliver the application for expedited processing.
