How do I transfer my Alabama license to Real?

Welcome to Real!

Steps to become fully active at Real in Alabama:

  1. Complete a Real Join Application
  2. Transfer Your License to Real
  3. Facilitate Your Board and MLS Transfers
  4. Update Your Marketing/Advertising
  5. Transfer Your Active Listings to Real
  6. Register for Training
  7. Join the Workvivo State Space
  8. Bookmark the Real Knowledge Base
  9. Download the Real App

 

1️⃣ COMPLETE A REAL JOIN APPLICATION

Complete a Real Application by signing the Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA) and paying the Application Fee using the steps below.

You will need the following items to complete your application:

  • License Number(s) and Expiration Date(s)
  • MLS and Board information
  • Sponsor name and email
  • A photo of the front of your Driver’s License
  • Payment information for the Application Fee

***Remember your login credentials that you create during the Application since this will be your login information for reZEN once your application has been approved.

 If you are advertising as a Team, please complete the form here (if you have not already) in order to record and setup that up properly with Real.
 

2️⃣ TRANSFER YOUR LICENSE TO REAL

  • Enter your email & password. Then click Login. 

  • Click Transfer/Inactivate/Change Name

  • Click Transfer to New Company.

  • Under New Company, enter Real's License Number:
    • To join as a Residential Agent:
      • Real Broker, LLC License #:000154770-0
    • To join as a Referral Only Agent:
      • Real Broker LFRO, LLC License #: 000162007-0
  • Then click Next

  • Acknowledge and e-sign that you have a mutual understanding with the qualifying broker and are activating with Real Broker, LLC.
  • You will be asked to pay a $25 fee, then your license will be transferred. 

 

NEWLY LICENSED AGENTS:  Please go to https://arec.alabama.gov/pages/professionals/licensing/app_instructions.aspx  for license application instructions.  

A complete application consists of the following:

  • Application for Real Estate License: which is accessible using the website link provided in the passing examination score report.
  • Fees: Fees vary depending upon the license-type you are seeking. Refer to the license application for an accurate accounting of the fees owed.
  • Fingerprint-Based Background Check: Applicants must submit to a fingerprint-based federal and state criminal background check, mandated by 34-27-32 Code of Alabama, by working with the Commission’s processing company, Fieldprint.

IMPORTANT: License issuance will not proceed until the Commission has received and reviewed the criminal history record information (CHRI) along with your application. The criminal record information will come to the Commission directly from Fieldprint and will only be available to the Commission for 30 days; therefore, we recommend that applicants submit this form (by mail or in-person) to the Real Estate Commission on the same day that they go to a fingerprinting site to be scanned.

After completing the above steps:

Your Designated Broker, Terri Kelley, and Onboarding Coordinator will confirm the transfer with the Alabama Real Estate Commission.

Already a Real agent? Please contact Real Support and our support team will add your license to your existing reZEN account.

 

3️⃣ FACILITATE YOUR MLS AND BOARD TRANSFERS

4️⃣ UPDATE YOUR MARKETING/ADVERTISING

Please review all Alabama advertising requirements here:

  • AL State Requirements
  • In all instances of advertising in the state of Alabama, an advertisement must include:
  • Registered Brokerage Name: Real Broker, LLC
  • Real Broker, LLC must appear prominently in all advertisements. Must be equal in size or larger than the Agent/Team name and/or logo.
  • The Agent’s name.
  • Real’s logo
  • Real’s logo must be the same size or larger than the agent or team logo (if applicable)
  • Phone number: Can be agent phone number

  • Physical address is not mandatory, but if used, it must be the contact address

    Teams

  • All team names must include “team” or “group.”
  • The team name cannot be larger in size than the Brokerage name (Real Broker, LLC). Team name can be equal in size or smaller.

5️⃣ TRANSFER YOUR ACTIVE LISTINGS TO REAL

If you are re-listing your active listing(s) with Real Broker, please submit forms electronically to ALsign@therealbrokerage.com for signature using an electronic signature platform.

  3. Attend Navigating Real's Technology to learn how to effectively use Real Signature, Real Academy, and Workvivo to help you work smarter and more efficiently.
     
  4. Attend Marketing Training - Mondays @ 1PM ET to learn about the many marketing resources available to help you build your brand. 
     
  5. Attend Real's Benefits and Programs to understand what is offered and how to access benefits and programs exclusive to Real Agents.
     
  6. Attend Ways to Earn Income at Real to learn more about Real’s wealth-building opportunities like stock and equity, Elite Agent status, revenue share, and more.
     

7️⃣ JOIN THE WORKVIVO STATE SPACE

Workvivo is our online Real community hub for Real agents. Each State/Province has a Group space for you to to easily see updates and access meetings and resources. You can also join others groups to interact with other agents at Real, especially for referrals and tips.

8️⃣ VISIT AND BOOKMARK THE REAL KNOWLEDGEBASE

9️⃣ DOWNLOAD THE REAL APP

To do so, go to www.joinreal.com/app on your mobile device. You’ll be prompted to download the app. You can also search for Real reZEN through the app store on your mobile device.

**Important, you will use the login information you created in Step 1 to log into your agent application.
