How do I transfer my Rhode Island license to Real?

Welcome to Real!

Steps to become fully active at Real in Rhode Island:

  1. Complete a Real Join Application
  2. Transfer Your License to Real
  3. Facilitate Your Board and MLS Transfers
  4. Update Your Marketing/Advertising
  5. Transfer Your Active Listings to Real
  6. Register for Training
  7. Join the Workvivo State Space
  8. Bookmark the Real Knowledge Base
  9. Download the Real App

 

1️⃣ COMPLETE A REAL JOIN APPLICATION

Complete a Real Application by signing the Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA) and paying the Application Fee using the steps below.

You will need the following items to complete your application:

  • License Number(s) and Expiration Date(s)
  • MLS and Board information
  • Sponsor name and email
  • A photo of the front of your Driver’s License
  • Payment information for the Application Fee

***Remember your login credentials that you create during the Application since this will be your login information for reZEN once your application has been approved.

2️⃣ TRANSFER YOUR LICENSE TO REAL

Now that you have signed your Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA) and paid the join fee, it's time to transfer your license to Real!

RI Newly-Licensed Affiliation Process:

  • The Onboarding Coordinator will send you the Real Estate Principal Broker Affidavit Form via Real Signature. Please sign and save a completed copy for use in the next steps.
  • Log into the eLicensing Portal.
  • Select “Online Services” and then “Apply For New License.”
  • A list of applications will be displayed and the agent will select “START” based on the type of application they will be applying for (ex. Real Estate Salesperson or Broker).
  • Select “NEXT.”
  • Screen will display asking the agent “Are you attempting to renew your license?”; agent is to select “NO” and then select “NEXT.”
  • A page will appear displaying the necessary requirements in order to apply for a new license based on whether they are a Resident, Non-Resident/Reciprocal or Attorney. Agents should follow the instructions based on which applies to them.
  • Complete the entire online application and pay the $165 New Agent Application Fee for RI.

RI Existing License Transfer Process:

  • Links are provided below for the Rhode Island - Change in Brokerage Affiliation Form and a copy of the Evidence of Insurance Real Broker 2026-27 form. These forms are already pre-signed by the RI Designated Broker here at Real. 

  • Once you have a completed and signed the RI - Change In Brokerage Affiliation Form form, please submit both forms to the State of Rhode Island with payment, hand delivering if possible for expedited processing:

After completing the above steps:

Your Designated Broker, Justin Mandese, and Onboarding Coordinator will confirm the transfer with the State of Rhode Island. The license must show Active with Real Broker to be onboarded.

Already a Real agent? Please contact Real Support and our support team will add your license to your existing reZEN account.

  • Legal name of brokerage: Real Broker, LLC. The Brokerage name (Real Broker, LLC) needs to be greater in size (or equal to) the agent and/or team name.

  • If on a team, team’s logo.

5️⃣ TRANSFER YOUR ACTIVE LISTINGS TO REAL

If you are re-listing your active listing(s) with Real Broker, please submit forms electronically to ribroker@therealbrokerage.com for signature using an electronic signature platform.

  3. Attend Navigating Real's Technology to learn how to effectively use Real Signature, Real Academy, and Workvivo to help you work smarter and more efficiently.
     
  4. Attend Marketing Training - Mondays @ 1PM ET to learn about the many marketing resources available to help you build your brand. 
     
  5. Attend Real's Benefits and Programs to understand what is offered and how to access benefits and programs exclusive to Real Agents.
     
  6. Attend Ways to Earn Income at Real to learn more about Real’s wealth-building opportunities like stock and equity, Elite Agent status, revenue share, and more.
     

7️⃣ JOIN THE WORKVIVO STATE SPACE

Workvivo is our online Real community hub for Real agents. Each State/Province has a Group space for you to to easily see updates and access meetings and resources. You can also join others groups to interact with other agents at Real, especially for referrals and tips.

9️⃣ DOWNLOAD THE REAL APP

To do so, go to www.joinreal.com/app on your mobile device. You’ll be prompted to download the app. You can also search for Real reZEN through the app store on your mobile device.

**Important, you will use the login information you created in Step 1 to log into your agent application.
