After you sign the Independent Contractor Agreement:
Now that you have signed your Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA) and paid the join fee, it's time to transfer your license to Real!
RI Newly-Licensed Affiliation Process:
- The Onboarding Coordinator will send you the Real Estate Principal Broker Affidavit Form via Real Signature. Please sign and save a completed copy for use in the next steps.
- Log into the eLicensing Portal.
- Select “Online Services” and then “Apply For New License.”
- A list of applications will be displayed and the agent will select “START” based on the type of application they will be applying for (ex. Real Estate Salesperson or Broker).
- Select “NEXT.”
- Screen will display asking the agent “Are you attempting to renew your license?”; agent is to select “NO” and then select “NEXT.”
- A page will appear displaying the necessary requirements in order to apply for a new license based on whether they are a Resident, Non-Resident/Reciprocal or Attorney. Agents should follow the instructions based on which applies to them.
- Complete the entire online application and pay the $165 New Agent Application Fee for RI.
RI Existing License Transfer Process:
- Links are provided below for the Rhode Island - Change in Brokerage Affiliation Form and a copy of the Evidence of Insurance Real Broker 2026-27 form. These forms are already pre-signed by the RI Designated Broker here at Real.

Once you have a completed and signed the RI - Change In Brokerage Affiliation Form form, please submit both forms to the State of Rhode Island with payment, hand delivering if possible for expedited processing:

After completing the above steps:
Your Designated Broker, Justin Mandese, and Onboarding Coordinator will confirm the transfer with the State of Rhode Island. The license must show Active with Real Broker to be onboarded.
