Steps to become fully active at Real in Louisiana:

1️⃣ COMPLETE A REAL JOIN APPLICATION
Complete a Real Application by signing the Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA) and paying the Application Fee using the steps below.
You will need the following items to complete your application:
- License Number(s) and Expiration Date(s)
- MLS and Board information
- Sponsor name and email
- A photo of the front of your Driver’s License
- Payment information for the Application Fee
***Remember your login credentials that you create during the Application since this will be your login information for reZEN once your application has been approved.

2️⃣ TRANSFER YOUR LICENSE TO REAL

Now that you have signed your ICA and paid the join fee, it's time to transfer your license to Real!
Existing Licensees
To transfer your existing license to Real, follow these steps:
- Login to your MyLREC Portal account. After logging in, select either the "License Maintenance Forms" or the "Supervisor" tab from the sidebar options.
- You will see options for two forms in your sidebar. Select the Terminate and Transfer Supervision form. This allows you to terminate your current supervision, indicate who you will be supervised by going forward, pay the transfer fee, and indicate what E&O Coverage you will use.
- Use the following new broker information:
- If joining as a Residential Agent: Real Broker, LLC - License number 995694725
- If joining as Referral Only: Real Broker LFRO, LLC - License number 995715426
- The termination of the current supervision relationship will occur immediately upon submission of the form, and they will receive an email confirming the termination. Your license status will be changed to "Inoperable" until your transfer has been finalized. You are responsible for checking your status before practicing real estate. Your status can be found on your MyLREC Portal and will change from"Inoperable" to "Active" once the transfer is completed.
- You can also check the status of your supervision by selecting the "Supervisor" tab in your MyLREC Portal. Here you will either see the requested broker listed as your current supervisor or the message "Supervision is pending acceptance by the broker."
Inactive Licenses
To reactivate your real estate license, you must request a transfer to active form directly from the Louisiana Real Estate Commission. A licensee-specific form will be generated which will list any education requirements that must be completed prior to transferring back to active status.
Please then send your form to the LA Designated broker, Wendy LeBlanc, for the sponsoring broker section completion at labroker@therealbrokerage.com. Once this form is fully executed, you will then need to either mail or hand deliver to LREC for activation.
Once your license is active status on LREC, we'll approve your join application in the system and complete your onboarding at that time.
New Licensees
To apply for a new real estate license, follow these steps:
- Review the Louisiana Real Estate Commission Salesperson Pre-Licensing Checklist to help you navigate the process of obtaining a salesperson license.
- After passing both portions of the exam, complete the top portion of the Initial Real Estate License Application - Part B Supervision Affidavit and then send to your designated broker, Wendy Leblanc, for signature at labroker@therealbrokerage.com. Once this form is completed and signed, order your Background Check in your MyLREC Portal, turn in the supervision affidavit and proof/payment of your E&O Insurance coverage.
After completing the above steps:
Your Designated Broker, Wendy Leblanc, and Onboarding Coordinator will receive notification to approve the transfer in their MyLREC Portal. Please note that per LREC, transfers cannot be processed on the same day as terminations. While the termination will take place immediately, the transfer will not take place until the following calendar day, even if Wendy immediately approves the request.

Already a Real agent? Please contact Real Support and our support team will add your license to your existing reZEN account.

4️⃣ UPDATE YOUR MARKETING/ADVERTISING
Please review all Louisiana advertising requirements here:
LA State Requirements: In all instances of advertising in the state of Louisiana, an advertisement must include:
• Legal name of brokerage; Real Broker, LLC (this is the only approved marketing name and has to be on everything)
• The Real logo by itself is not compliant. Must include name of brokerage
• Agent’s phone number
• Agent’s name as registered with LREC
• Brokerage phone number: 855-450-0442
• Licensed in Louisiana
All print materials must be approved by the broker prior to print and distribution.
See below for specific instructions based on the type of advertising.
Advertisements of Residential Property
All printed advertisements for the sale or lease of residential real estate shall indicate the month and year the advertisement is printed, published, or distributed. Advertisements printed or published in newspapers, real estate trade publications and commercial magazines and brochures bearing an issue or publication date will be considered in compliance with this Section.
Internet Advertising
A real estate broker advertising or marketing on a site on the Internet must include the following data on each page of the site on which the advertisement appears:
1. the broker's name or trade name as registered with the commission;
2. the city and state in which the broker's main office or branch office is located.
3. the regulatory jurisdiction(s) in which the broker holds a real estate brokerage license
A real estate broker using any Internet electronic communication for advertising or marketing, including but not limited to, e-mail, email discussion groups, and bulletin boards, must include the following data on the first or last page of all communications:
1. the broker's name or trade name as registered with the commission;
2. the city and state in which the broker's main office or branch office is located.
3. the regulatory jurisdiction(s) in which the broker holds a real estate brokerage license.
An associate broker or salesperson advertising or marketing on a site on the Internet must include the following data on each page of the site on which the licensee's advertisement or information appears:
1. the associate broker's or salesperson's name;
2. the name or trade name of the licensed broker or agency listed on the license of the salesperson or associate broker;
3. the city and state in which the broker's main office or branch office is located.
4. the regulatory jurisdiction(s) in which the broker holds a real estate
brokerage license.
An associate broker or salesperson using any Internet electronic communication for advertising or marketing, included but not limited to, e-mail, email discussion groups, and bulletin boards, must include the following data on the first or last page of all communications:
1. the associate broker's or salesperson's name
2. the name or trade name of the licensed broker or agency listed on the license of the salesperson or associate broker
3. the city and state in which the broker's main office or branch office is located.
4. the regulatory jurisdiction(s) in which the broker holds a real estate brokerage license.

If you are re-listing your active listing(s) with Real Broker, please submit forms electronically to labroker@therealbrokerage.com for signature using an electronic signature platform.
