Steps to become fully active at Real in Maryland:
- Complete a Real Join Application

1️⃣ COMPLETE A REAL JOIN APPLICATION
Complete a Real Application by signing the Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA) and paying the Application Fee using the steps below.
You will need the following items to complete your application:
- License Number(s) and Expiration Date(s)
- MLS and Board information
- Sponsor name and email
- A photo of the front of your Driver’s License
- Payment information for the Application Fee
***Remember your login credentials that you create during the Application since this will be your login information for reZEN once your application has been approved.

If you are advertising as a Team, please complete the form here (if you have not already) in order to record and setup that up properly with Real.
2️⃣ TRANSFER YOUR LICENSE TO REAL

NOTE: If you are within 60 days of your MD license expiration date, you cannot transfer your license until you've met all of the CE requirements and it's been renewed.
ADDITIONAL NOTE: Maryland requires that Broker licenses be done via mail. If you hold a Broker license, MDREC will need to process your paperwork before they will update your affiliation online.
To initiate transferring your license, follow these instructions:
- Login to the Maryland Department of Labor Real Estate Changes site. The Registration Number to log onto the portal is your MD License number.
- Make sure Active is checked. Click Continue.
- On the Active Salesperson Changes page:
- Confirm Main Office is displayed in the first box
- Enter in the Registration Number:
- If joining as a Residential Agent, enter: 323764
- If joining as a Referral Only Agent, enter: 6605
- Leave Branch Office Number blank
- Click Submit.
After completing the above steps:
Your Designated Broker, Dave Kolakowski, and Onboarding Coordinator will confirm the transfer with the Maryland Department of Licensing.
If you have documents that require signature, please send to dmv.sign@onereal.com for signature.
Once your license is affiliated with Real and your Join Application is approved you'll receive the Welcome, Next Steps email.
New to Real? Look out for your welcome email once your license transfer is complete. This will include your Post-Onboarding Instructions, details on our Onboarding class, link to our Marketing Center and more!
Already a Real agent? Please contact the Onboarding Team and they will add your license to your existing reZEN account.
3️⃣ FACILITATE YOUR MLS AND BOARD TRANSFERS

4️⃣ UPDATE YOUR MARKETING/ADVERTISING
Please review all Maryland advertising requirements here:
In all instances of advertising in the state of Maryland, an advertisement must include:
- Legal name of brokerage; Real Broker, LLC
- Name of the licensee and phone number
- Brokerage phone number: 855-450-0442 for online and web advertising and signage.
- If on a team, MUST include full team name
- Team leaders are required to take an additional course and notify the commission
- Fair housing logo
- (optional) Agent license category (salesperson, associate broker, broker)
- The address of the brokerage - “NOT REQUIRED FOR SIGNAGE”

5️⃣ TRANSFER YOUR ACTIVE LISTINGS TO REAL
If you are re-listing your active listing(s) with Real Broker, please submit forms electronically to DMV.sign@therealbrokerage.com for signature using an electronic signature platform.

7️⃣ JOIN THE WORKVIVO STATE SPACE
Workvivo is our online Real community hub for Real agents. Each State/Province has a Group space for you to to easily see updates and access meetings and resources. You can also join others groups to interact with other agents at Real, especially for referrals and tips.

8️⃣ VISIT AND BOOKMARK THE REAL KNOWLEDGEBASE
The Real KnowledgeBase is our collection of digital articles, including FAQs, how-to guides, and tutorials, that you can search to learn more and understand all the resources and benefits of Real.
9️⃣ DOWNLOAD THE REAL APP
To do so, go to www.joinreal.com/app on your mobile device. You’ll be prompted to download the app. You can also search for Real reZEN through the app store on your mobile device.
**Important, you will use the login information you created in Step 1 to log into your agent application.
