After you sign the Independent Contractor Agreement:
Now that you have signed your ICA and paid the join fee, it's time to transfer your license to Real! To do this, follow these steps:
**TO AVOID DELAYS, PLEASE BE SURE YOUR APPLICATION IS COMPLETE BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR CHANGE FORM OR NEW AGENT APPLICATION TO THE BROKER FOR SIGNATURE.
Existing agents
If you are transferring from another broker or reactivating your license, Complete the Hawaii Real Estate Change Form - linked here.
- Complete Section A with your personal information.

If you are currently affiliated with a broker:

- Check Change BROKER on page 2.
- Your former broker must complete Section C on page 2. Again, the state of Hawaii requires wet signatures. Your former broker must physically sign and date Section C.

Print Change Form and Sign

- Note that while the form can be filled out electronically, the state of Hawaii requires wet signatures. You must physically sign and date Section B.
- Once this is signed by you and your former Broker (if applicable), please scan and send a copy to your new principal broker, to complete Section D on page 2.
- Reminder that the state of Hawaii requires wet signatures, meaning you must physically sign with a pen and David Lundstrom (Principal Broker) or Broker in Charge (BIC) must physically sign and date Section D.

*If a Broker in Charge (BIC) is changing brokerages, the Principal Broker must sign Section C. (BIC NOT AUTHORIZED TO SIGN THEMSELVES OR OTHER BIC'S ON OR OFF.)
New Agents
Complete the Hawaii Application for License provided to you during your licensing training/exam.
- When completing the application to join Real please enter 000000 for your license number.
- After you've finished your application to join Real and submitted the application fee, please Complete the Hawaii Application for License
- Hawaii requires wet signatures. You must print the application and physically sign with a pen before emailing to the principal broker.
Submit Change Form or Application for License to Principal Broker or Broker in Charge
- When you have a fully completed and executed Change Form or Application for License, please scan and email to David at HIBroker@therealbrokerage.com, and copy onboarding@therealbrokerage.com.
- Once the principal broker has completed their section and signed, they will email it back to you.
- You must then mail (or hand deliver if possible) the ORIGINALS of your Change Form to the following address:
After completing the above steps:
- Your Designated Broker, David Lundstrom, and Onboarding Coordinator will verify your new license affiliation with Real Broker, LLC and complete your onboarding process.
License Transfer:
Please note it can take up to 3-4 weeks for your license status to reflect as active with Real on the DCCA website.
Required Next Steps:
- We will need a copy of your Real Estate Wall License and Pocket License - our Onboarding team will reach out to get a copy - here are the instructions for how to get those from eHawaii.gov
- You need to print your Pocket License and make sure it is available whenever you are working.
- You will need to send us your GET number (once again, our Onboarding Team will reach out). If you don't have a GET License, you can apply for one from the Hawaii Department of Taxation.
- Reminder: we are registered in Hawaii as Real Broker, LLC this must be used on all official documents and marketing.
