How do I transfer my Hawaii license to Real?

After you sign the Independent Contractor Agreement:

Now that you have signed your ICA and paid the join fee, it's time to transfer your license to Real! To do this, follow these steps:

**TO AVOID DELAYS, PLEASE BE SURE YOUR JOIN APPLICATION IS COMPLETE BEFORE SUBMITTING AN EXPRESS CHANGE BROKER REQUEST, CHANGE FORM, OR NEW AGENT APPLICATION TO THE BROKER TEAM.

 

Transferring license

If you are transferring from another broker and your license is current and active, please see instructions here: Express Change Broker Request. 

  • When prompted to add your New Hiring Broker, search and add Real Broker LLC (License No: RB-23337).

  • Then select either Savannah Lightly, or Rene Sands as your signing broker and confirm.

     

Reactivating license

If you are reactivating your license, please complete the Hawaii Real Estate Change Form. 

  • Complete Section A of the change form with your personal information.
    • Check REACTIVATE License on page 2. 

  • Submit Change Form to the Hawaii Broker Team
    • When you have completed your sections of the Change Form or Application for License, please email it to the Hawaii Broker Team at HIBroker@therealbrokerage.com using a digital signing platform.
    • Once the principal broker or broker in charge has completed section D and signed it, you must then mail (or hand deliver if possible) the ORIGINALS of your Change Form to the following address:

New Agents

Complete the Hawaii Application for License provided to you during your licensing training/exam.

  • Submit Application for License to the Hawaii Broker Team
    • When you have a fully completed application for a license, please scan and email it to the Hawaii Broker Team at HIBroker@therealbrokerage.com, and copy onboarding@therealbrokerage.com.

    • Once the principal broker or broker in charge has completed their section and signed, they will confirm the best method to submit your application to the DCCA. 

After completing the above steps:

  • Express Change Broker Requests will normally be effective the same business as submission
  • Please note it can take up to 3-4 weeks for the DCCA to process your change form or new agent application.
  • After your license is active with Real Broker LLC, your Onboarding Coordinator will verify your new license affiliation and complete your onboarding process. Your application will be approved at this time.

 

After Joining:

  • We will need a copy of your Real Estate Wall License and Pocket License - our Onboarding team will reach out to get a copy - here are the instructions for how to get those from eHawaii.gov
  • You need to print your Pocket License and make sure it is available whenever you are working.
  • You will need to send us your GET number (once again, our Onboarding Team will reach out). If you don't have a GET License, you can apply for one from the Hawaii Department of Taxation.
  • Reminder: we are registered in Hawaii as Real Broker, LLC this must be used on all official documents and marketing. 

 

Special Notes:

  • If you are located on a neighboring island other than Oahu, please email the Hawaii Broker Team, hibroker@therealbrokerage.com , for assistance on how to best accommodate you.
  • If a Broker in Charge (BIC) is changing brokerages, the Principal Broker must sign Section C. (BIC NOT AUTHORIZED TO SIGN THEMSELVES OR OTHER BIC'S ON OR OFF.)
