After you sign the Independent Contractor Agreement:
Now that you have signed your Independent Contractor Agreement and paid the join fee, it's time to transfer your license to Real!
Please see below, as there are 4 possible scenarios, and choose the one that fits your needs:
- Transfer an Active License
- Transfer an Inactive License
- Transfer your license as a managing broker
- Brand new agent registration
1. Transfer an active license.
a. Go to https://online-dfpr.micropact.com/Default.aspx and log in to your account.
b. Click “Online Services”
c. Click “Licensure options”
d. Choose “Start”
e. Hit the drop-down tab and select “Transfer Active License to New Brokerage.”
f. On the next page you will be able to choose our firm by selecting the blue “Add” button.
g. When you go to add Real, you will need to search for our firm. There are two ways to search,
1. Real Broker LLC – as the “Legal Business Name” or Real Broker LFRO LLC only if you're joining as a referral only agent.
2. 481.012643, which is our license number. IF you're planning to join Real's Referral Only office, you'll search for "Real Broker LFRO LLC" or license number 481.014234.
h. Our firm should show up at the top, make the selection and then continue to finish the registration process and make your payment to the state.
i. Once this step is complete, we will receive a notice to accept you on to our roster. We will do this and then send you an email with proof of us accepting you. You can use this proof of acceptance to update your board affiliation as soon as you get it.
2. Transfer an inactive or inoperative license.
a. Go to https://online-dfpr.micropact.com/Default.aspx and log in to your account.
b. Click “Online Services”
c. Click “Licensure options”
d. Choose “Start”
e. Hit the drop-down tab and select “Join a New Brokerage Firm”
f. On the next page you will be able to choose our firm by selecting the blue “Add” button.
g. When you go to add Real, you will need to search for our firm. There are two ways to search, 1. Real Broker LLC – as the “Legal Business Name” or 2. 481.012643, which is our license number.
h. Our firm should show up at the top, make the selection and then continue to finish the registration process and make your payment to the state.
i. Once this step is complete, we will receive a notice to accept you on to our roster. We will do this and then send you an email with proof of us accepting you. You can use this proof of acceptance to update your board affiliation as soon as you get it.
3. Transferring your license as a managing broker.
a. Go to https://online-dfpr.micropact.com/Default.aspx and log in to your account.
b. Click “Online Services”
c. Click “Licensure options”
d. Choose “Start”
e. Hit the drop-down tab and select “Modify My Current License”
f. Hit the drop-down tab and select “Transfer Active License to New Brokerage.”
g. On the next page you will be able to choose our firm by selecting the blue “Add” button.
h. When you go to add Real, you will need to search for our firm. There are two ways to search, 1. Real Broker LLC – as the “Legal Business Name” or 2. 481.012643, which is our license number.
i. Our firm should show up at the top, make the selection and then continue to finish the registration process and make your payment to the state.
j. Once this step is complete, we will receive a notice to accept you on to our roster. We will do this and then send you an email with proof of us accepting you. You can use this proof of acceptance to update your board affiliation as soon as you get it.
4. Brand new agent registration
a. Go to https://online-dfpr.micropact.com/Default.aspx and select “Register.”
b. Please select the appropriate responses to navigate through the registration process.
c. When you get to add your sponsor, you will want to search for our firm. There are two ways to search, 1. Real Broker LLC – as the “Legal Business Name” or 2. 481.012643, which is our license number.
d. Our firm should show up at the top, make the selection and then continue to finish the registration process and make your payment to the state.
e. Once this step is complete, we will receive a notice to accept you on to our roster. We will do this right away but because you have not received your license number, we will not complete your onboarding right away. We will keep an eye on the state website, and we recommend you do as well. Once you are issued a license number we will complete your onboarding and you will be able to join a board
After completing the above steps:
Your Designated Broker, John Barnak, and Onboarding Coordinator will confirm the transfer with the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation.
