Steps to become fully active at Real in Illinois:

1️⃣ COMPLETE A REAL JOIN APPLICATION
Complete a Real Application by signing the Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA) and paying the Application Fee using the steps below.
You will need the following items to complete your application:
- License Number(s) and Expiration Date(s)
- MLS and Board information
- Sponsor name and email
- A photo of the front of your Driver’s License
- Payment information for the Application Fee
***Remember your login credentials that you create during the Application since this will be your login information for reZEN once your application has been approved.

If you are advertising as a Team, please complete the form here (if you have not already) in order to record and setup that up properly with Real.
2️⃣ TRANSFER YOUR LICENSE TO REAL - please read the instructions below carefully and select the correct office on IDFPR to avoid onboarding delays!!

Please see below, as there are 4 possible scenarios, and choose the one that fits your needs:
- Transfer an Active License
- Transfer an Inactive License
- Transfer your license as a managing broker
- Brand new agent registration

1. Transfer an active license
Go to https://online-dfpr.micropact.com/ and log in to your account.
Click “Online Services”
Click “Licensure options”
Choose “Start”
Hit the drop-down tab and select “Transfer Active License to New Brokerage.” Then click "Next."
On the next page you will be able to choose our firm by selecting the blue “Add” button, then "Next".
When you go to add Real, you will need to search for Real Broker in License Number field using the Real Broker LLC – as the “Legal Business Name” or by License Number: 481.012643. If you are joining as a Referral Only agent, please search by Real Broker LFRO LLC or License Number: 481.014234
Our firm should show up at the top, make the selection and click "Add", then "Ok".
Click "Next"
Continue to finish the registration process and click "Proceed to Payment"
Click Pay Invoice and you'll be prompted to enter Payment
Once this step is complete, we will receive a notice to accept you on to our roster. We will do this and then send you an email with proof of acceptance. You can use this proof of acceptance to update your board affiliation as soon as you get it.
After completing the above steps:
Your Designated Broker, Jani Burke, and Onboarding Coordinator will confirm the transfer.
Once your license is affiliated with Real and your Join Application is approved you'll receive the Welcome, Next Steps email.
New to Real? Look out for your welcome email once your license transfer is complete. This will include your Post-Onboarding Instructions, details on our Onboarding class, link to our Marketing Center and more!
Already a Real agent? Please contact the Onboarding Team and they will add your license to your existing reZEN account.

2. Transfer an inactive or inoperative license
Go to https://online-dfpr.micropact.com/ and log in to your account.
Click “Online Services”
Click “Licensure options”
Choose “Start”
Hit the drop-down tab and select “Join a New Brokerage Firm”, then "Next".
On the next page you will be able to choose our firm by selecting the blue “Add” button, then "Next".
When you go to add Real, you will need to search for Real Broker in License Number field using the Real Broker LLC – as the “Legal Business Name” or by License Number: 481.012643. If you are joining as a Referral Only agent, please search by Real Broker LFRO LLC or License Number: 481.014234
Our firm should show up at the top, make the selection and click "Add", then "Ok".
Click "Next"

3. Transferring your license as a managing broker
Go to https://online-dfpr.micropact.com/ and log in to your account.
Click “Online Services”
Click “Licensure options”
Choose “Start”
Hit the drop-down tab and select “Modify My Current License”
Hit the drop-down tab and select “Transfer Active License to New Brokerage" then click "Next".
On the next page you will be able to choose our firm by selecting the blue “Add” button, then "Next".
When you go to add Real, you will need to search for Real Broker in License Number field using the Real Broker LLC – as the “Legal Business Name” or by License Number: 481.012643. If you are joining as a Referral Only agent, please search by Real Broker LFRO LLC or License Number: 481.014234
Our firm should show up at the top, make the selection and click "Add", then "Ok".
Click "Next"
Continue to finish the registration process and click "Proceed to Payment"

4. Brand new agent registration
Go to https://online-dfpr.micropact.com/ and select "Register"
Please select the appropriate responses to navigate through the registration process.
When you go to add Real, you will need to search for Real Broker in License Number field using the Real Broker LLC – as the “Legal Business Name” or by License Number: 481.012643. If you are joining as a Referral Only agent, please search by Real Broker LFRO LLC or License Number: 481.014234
Our firm should show up at the top, make the selection and click "Add", then "Ok".
Click "Next"
Continue to finish the registration process and click "Proceed to Payment"
Click Pay Invoice and you'll be prompted to enter Payment
Once this step is complete, we will receive a notice to accept you on to our roster. We will accept you, but because you have not received your license number, we will not complete your onboarding right away. We will keep an eye on the state website, and we recommend you do as well. Once you are issued a license number we will complete your onboarding and you will be able to join a Board/MLS
After completing the above steps:

Once your license is affiliated with Real and your Join Application is approved you'll receive the Welcome, Next Steps email.

3️⃣ FACILITATE YOUR MLS AND BOARD TRANSFERS

4️⃣ UPDATE YOUR MARKETING/ADVERTISING
Please review all Illinois advertising requirements here:
In all instances of advertising in the state of Illinois, an advertisement must include:
- Legal name of brokerage; Real or Real Broker LLC
- State Brokerage name—Real— must be at least equal in size or larger than the agent name or team name and must be disclosed in a reasonable and readily apparent manner.
- Real’s logo

5️⃣ TRANSFER YOUR ACTIVE LISTINGS TO REAL
If you are re-listing your active listing(s) with Real Broker, please submit forms to ilbroker@therealbrokerage.com for signature using an electronic signature platform.

To do so, go to www.joinreal.com/app on your mobile device. You’ll be prompted to download the app. You can also search for Real reZEN through the app store on your mobile device.
**Important, you will use the login information you created in Step 1 to log into your agent application.
