1️⃣ COMPLETE A REAL JOIN APPLICATION
Complete a Real Application by signing the Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA) and paying the Application Fee using the steps below.
You will need the following items to complete your application:
- License Number(s) and Expiration Date(s)
- MLS and Board information
- Sponsor name and email
- A photo of the front of your Driver’s License
- Payment information for the Application Fee
***Remember your login credentials that you create during the Application since this will be your login information for reZEN once your application has been approved.

2️⃣ TRANSFER YOUR LICENSE TO REAL

Now that you have signed your ICA and paid the join fee, it's time to transfer your license to Real!
Existing Licensees
Active License Transfers/Change of Information
To transfer your existing license to Real you will submit the transfer request online.
- Log-in to the Vermont Office of Professional Regulation and upload the Change of Information form our Onboarding Team sent to you via Real Signature.
- Click on Access/Create Account
3. Login with your User Name and Password
- Click on Update license or application
- Fill out the top section with your information
- Click the Box Marked “I wish to transfer my license to another brokerage”
- Fill out the previous broker office Information section
- Fill out New Information
- Name of New office: Real Broker, LLC
- License Number: 083-0650567MAIN
- Address: 39 Central Street Ste. 201B Woodstock, VT 05091
- Principal Broker: Annette Gallo
- License Number: 081.0134333 (Releasing broker only needs to sign if they are completing the form and checking the last box)
- Sign the Document and email it to vtbroker@therealbrokerage.com for signature.
Once you have received the signed document back from the broker, upload the completed form to your online profile by logging in to your OPR account and clicking on “update sponsor application”
- Allow 3-5 business days for processing. Once a change is made you can print an updated copy of your license by clicking on “view/print license.”
- Verify the change on the online look up and re-print your license
New Licensees
First-time Applicants:

To apply for a license you must create your Vermont Office of Professional Regulation user account. Go to the Vermont Office of Professional Regulation: Real Estate Brokers & Sales Persons online portal, and then click on Online Services.
- If you are already an existing user, log in with your email address and password under the existing user section.
- If you have not yet created a user account, click Create Account
Once you have created your user account you will be logged into your OPR Dashboard.
- Complete the online application and pay the non-refundable processing fee.
- Certificate of completion of your 40-hour pre-licensing course.
- Upload a completed verification of Employment/Supervision form.
- Complete the State exam (available within the application) and upload the exam answer sheet with your application.
- Upload proof of successfully passing the National examination. Applicants must have taken and passed the national examination within two years preceding the date of application.

After completing the above steps:
Your Designated Broker, Annette Gallo, and the Onboarding Coordinator will receive a message from the OPR confirming the transfer OR notifying them to confirm the transfer.
New to Real? Look out for your welcome email once your license transfer is complete. This will include your Post-Onboarding Instructions, details on our Onboarding class, link to our Marketing Center and more!
Already a Real agent? Please contact Real Support and our support team will add your license to your existing reZEN account.

4️⃣ UPDATE YOUR MARKETING/ADVERTISING
Please review all Vermont advertising requirements here:
VT State Requirements: In all instances of advertising in the state of Vermont, an advertisement must include:
- Legal name of brokerage: Real Broker LLC
- Brokerage Phone Number: (802) 613-0729
- Address of Brokerage (Optional for signage): 4697 Main Street, Manchester Center, VT 05255
- Real’s logo
4.12 Advertising
- (a) Every real estate advertisement shall conspicuously display the brokerage firm’s registered name. This is the name that appears on the brokerage firm’s registration issued by OPR. The brokerage firm’s registered name shall be the most prominent and largest identifier. This means the brokerage firm’s registered name shall be larger than items such as the agent’s name, phone number, team name and web address.
- (b) When property in which a licensee has an ownership interest is marketed, all advertisements shall disclose the fact that said owner is a Vermont licensee.
- (c) Signs used in advertising must comply with Vermont state and municipal sign laws, including but not limited to the following:
- 1 a “for sale” sign, or multiple signs on the same premises taken together, shall not have an area of more than six 6 square feet, including panel, frame and riders;
- 2 signs attached to “for sale” signs which state “sold,” “sale pending,” “sale under contract,” or similar messages shall not be permitted;
- 3 a “for sale” sign may only be erected and maintained on the same premises that is for sale and may not be erected or maintained off-premise; and
- 4 a “for sale” sign may not be erected and maintained along a highway and visible from the highway which is located upon a tree, or painted or drawn upon a rock or other natural feature.
- (d) Advertisements of properties listed by another brokerage firm shall also conspicuously display that listing brokerage firm’s registered name and listing agent’s name.
- Any time that an agent’s phone number appears in an advertisement for real estate for sale of real estate services, the Brokerage phone number must also appear

5️⃣ TRANSFER YOUR ACTIVE LISTINGS TO REAL
If you are re-listing your active listing(s) with Real Broker, please submit forms electronically to vtbroker@therealbrokerage.com for signature using an electronic signature platform.
