Steps to become fully active at Real in Michigan:

1️⃣ COMPLETE A REAL JOIN APPLICATION
Complete a Real Application by signing the Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA) and paying the Application Fee using the steps below.
You will need the following items to complete your application:
- License Number(s) and Expiration Date(s)
- MLS and Board information
- A photo of the front of your Driver’s License
- Estimated Closed Sales Volume in the Last 12 Months
- Payment information for the Application Fee
- Banking Information: Routing and Account Number to receive commissions
- Tax ID Information: Social Security Number and Business Entity ID (if applicable)
***Remember your login credentials that you create during the Application since this will be your login information for reZEN.
2️⃣ TRANSFER YOUR LICENSE TO REAL
Salesperson Instructions (see Principal Broker instructions below)
Now that you have signed your ICA and paid the join fee, it's time to transfer your license to Real! To transfer your existing license to Real, follow these steps:
- Login to your MiPLUS account. Above the welcome message, select the Licenses tab.
- Select Modification next to your license number.
- Select Transfer or Employing Broker Notification, and then click Continue Application.
- Scroll down to New Employing Broker Information and if joining as a Residential Agent enter Real Broker, LLC's license number: 6505431497 or if joining as a Referral Only Agent enter Real Broker LFRO, LLC's license number: 6505432784. The broker company name, license expiration date and address information will AUTO-FILL. Click Continue Application.
- Review your answers. If corrections need to be made, click Edit. Once ready, click Continue Application to submit the request.
- You will now see confirmation that your request was submitted successfully.
After completing the above steps:
Your Designated Broker, Angela Hyde, and Onboarding Coordinator will confirm the transfer with the Michigan Bureau of Professional Licensing.

Already a Real agent? Please contact Real Support, and our support team will add your license to your existing reZEN account.
Principal Broker Transferring to Real:
If you are currently listed as the Principal Broker on a company license:
- A new Principal Broker must be appointed in MiPLUS first
- That person must accept the Principal Broker role
- LARA must process/approve that change
- You cannot switch your license type while you are still the designated Principal Broker.
2. Once you are no longer listed as Principal Broker (after the new Principal Broker is officially tied to the company):
Login to your MiPLUS account. Above the welcome message, select the Licenses tab.

Select Modification next to your license number.
- Choose option for change to Associate Broker (Non-Principal)
- You’ll answer a handful of questions and pay a small fee.
- Scroll down to New Employing Broker Information and enter Real Broker, LLC's license number: 6505431497. The broker company name, license expiration date and address information will AUTO-FILL. Click Continue Application.
3. The current Principal Broker will need to approve the connection in MiPLUS
- sometimes same day
- sometimes a few business days
- slightly slower if it’s Monday or holiday
- If MiPLUS won’t let you proceed, it is almost always because you are still tied as Principal Broker somewhere.
- If CE or renewal is overdue, LARA may require compliance before approving changes.
- Save PDFs of everything!
- If anything looks frozen or contradictory, call LARA directly at 1-517-241-0199
After completing the above steps:
Your Designated Broker, Angela Hyde, and Onboarding Coordinator will confirm the transfer with the Michigan Bureau of Professional Licensing.

4️⃣ TRANSFER YOUR ACTIVE LISTINGS TO REAL
If you are re-listing your active listing(s) with Real Broker, please submit forms to MI.sign@therealbrokerage.com for signature using an electronic signature platform.

Attend Real Onboarding - Wednesdays @ 2PM ET to learn everything you need to know to get started: completing onboarding, transitioning into Real, an introduction to reZEN and our agent tools, support resources, Real’s key benefits and programs, and your first steps as a Real agent.
6️⃣ REGISTER FOR TRANSACTION TRAINING
Attend Real Transaction Training - Tuesdays and Thursdays @ 1PM ET to learn how to enter listings and transactions, understand the steps to getting paid, process referral payments, and properly terminate listings or transactions.
7️⃣ REGISTER FOR MARKETING TRAINING
Attend Real Marketing - Mondays at 1PM ET to learn about the many marketing resources available to help you build your brand.
8️⃣VISIT AND BOOKMARK THE REAL KNOWLEDGEBASE to understand all the resources and benefits with Real.
9️⃣DOWNLOAD THE REAL APP
To do so, go to www.joinreal.com/app on your mobile device. You’ll be prompted to download the app. You can also search for Real reZEN through the app store on your mobile device.
**Important, you will use the login information you created in Step 1 to log into your agent application.
