Real’s Private Label program allows eligible independent brokerages to keep the brands that they spent years building – while still benefiting from partnering with Real.
Getting Started:
- If your brokerage has a physical office location, kick-off the approval process by completing the Physical Office Application - Found HERE
- Before we can begin the steps with the DOL, all agents MUST be moved over to Real, the escrow accounts must be empty, and all listings must be transferred.
- New Jersey requires Real to submit the following documentation:
- Cover Letter
- Private Label Agreement
- Closing Office Affidavit
- Change of Status Application
- Branch Office Application
Step 1: Complete and sign required documentation for DOL filing
- New Jersey requirements require Real to submit a number of documents. Many of these documents you will need to sign.
- Details on each of the documents that you will be responsible for providing or signing are below:
Note: Real will provide you with the prepared Closing Office Affidavit & License Type Change Form. You will not need to find or create these documents yourself. |

- Closing Office Affidavit → This form will need to be printed, completed and signed in front of a notary.
- Change of Status Application → The form will be sent to you already prepared. You will only need to review and sign.
- Branch Office Application → The form will be sent to you already prepared. You will only need to review and sign.

- Once all of your documentation is complete scan and email ALL of your documents to Amber Fulcher.
- Real is required to submit the original copy of the Closing Office Affidavit. You will be required to mail the affidavit to the NJ Broker. Connect with the PL team to get the address.
Step 2: Real gathers their required documentation & information for DOL filing
- Real is also required to gather a number of required documents. Details on each of the documents that Real will be responsible for are below:

- Private Label Agreement → Real gathers the signed copy of the Private Label Agreement
- Cover Letter → Real will prepare and include a cover letter to explain the intention of the filings to ensure there is clear communication

Step 3: Real approves the documentation and submits via mail to the DOL
- The New Jersey Broker will review all documentation for accuracy and once approved, the package and payment will be mailed to the DOL.
