If our side is responsible for holding the deposit in trust, please follow the instructions below to deposit funds in our Trust account. Please note: no cheques are accepted in person. Do not mail a cheque to the office as there is no reception, pickup, or drop-off.

Before you deposit the trust cheque:
You must complete Step 1: Enter your deal in reZEN - Canada.
How to make a deposit into our Trust Account:
You and your client have several options for depositing funds into our trust account.
- (Preferred Method) Your client can make a secure electronic payment using Payload.
- Your client can write a cheque to be uploaded electronically in reZEN.
- Your client can write a cheque and deposit it at a bank location into Real's Trust account.
- Your client can send a wire transfer.
Option 1 - Electronic Payment with Payload - Preferred Method
Payload is a secure, digital payment platform designed for real estate brokerages to collect trust and commissions electronically. For more information about Payload and how it works, CLICK HERE.
You can find the link to send to your client to complete a deposit into Real's trust account below. Please note that there is a $15 service fee assessed to the client.
Important Note: This option is not available in Manitoba due to compliance limitations.

Option 2 - Scan and Upload a Cheque using Real Deposits
You can scan and upload a copy of the cheque electronically in reZEN.

- You may not share trust deposit information with the other brokerage in Manitoba. In Manitoba, you must pickup the cheque and deposit in-app or ask your client to deposit electronically.
Detailed Steps:
Step 1: Login to reZEN. Click on My Transactions then click on the transaction.
Step 2: Click the Deposits tab in the transaction.
Step 3: Click Manage Trust Deposit. This will open a module on the right. Click Add Deposit.
Step 4: Enter the amount of the deposit, for description enter "trust," who is holding the deposit (Real or Other Brokerage) and when the deposit is due. Then click Add.
The next step will depend on how the funds are being deposited. Click below for the next step:
- If you have the cheque and want to deposit electronically - click here
- If someone else has the cheque and wants to deposit electronically - click here
- If the funds will be wired or deposited directly at the bank - click here
If you have the cheque and want to deposit electronically
Step 5: Click Deposit Real's Check. A module will open. Enter the amount of the deposit and then take a photo of the front and back of the cheque (or upload from your computer). Then, click Preview Deposit.
That's it! You are done! Once complete, the installment will be added to the transaction in reZEN.
Your deposit should be confirmed within 24 hours. If the deposit is not confirmed within 24 hours, please contact Real Support.
Once the cheque is deposited, make sure you complete Step 2: Upload Documents to Checklist - Canada, then you can go to Step 4: Broker Approval for Conveyance - Canada.
If someone else has the cheque and wants to deposit electronically
Step 5: Click Get External Trust Deposit Link. This will generate a unique link you can send to the person holding the cheque to deposit it directly to our Trust Account. Click Copy Link and send this link to the external depositor (person with the cheque).
Step 6: The Depositor will open the link and follow the instructions:
- Depositor's Full Name: is the person depositing the cheque
- Email address & phone number: is for the person depositing the cheque
The depositor should click Next once this is filled out.
Step 7: The depositor will enter the deposit amount and upload the front and back of the cheque, then click Preview Deposit.
- For best results, make sure all four corners of the cheque are displayed and the picture is taken on a dark background.
That's it! Once deposited, you will see the cheque under the Trust Deposits section in reZEN. This should be confirmed within 24hrs of deposit. If it's not confirmed, please reach out to Real Support.
Once the cheque is deposited, make sure you uploaded all documents to your checklist, then you can go to Step 4: Broker Approval for Conveyance - Canada.
Option 3 and 4 - Wire Funds or Deposit a Cheque at the Bank
You can deposit cheques the old-fashioned way. Please see the instructions for your Province:

Once the funds are sent to Real, go to the deposits tab in the transaction and click Manual.
Fill out the deposit information and click Add.
That's it! Once complete, the installment will be added to the transaction in reZEN. Real’s Accounting team will review the receipt and match it to the funds in our bank account. Once the deposit is matched, the status will change from Not Confirmed -> Confirmed.
Once the cheque is deposited, make sure you uploaded all documents to your checklist, then you can go to Step 4: Broker Approval for Conveyance - Canada.
