Electronic Payments To Real - Payload

Payload is a secure, digital payment platform designed for real estate brokerages to collect trust or earnest money deposits (EMD), and commissions electronically. Payload gives trust and commission payers an encrypted digital payment option in addition to our traditional payment options (wire transfer or check), reducing fraud risk and creating an easier payment and tracking experience for everyone!

Here’s what you need to know:

• Payload allows clients and closing companies to quickly and easily transfer funds to Real electronically through a secure link.
• There is a separate link for commission payments and trust/escrow/EMD deposits for each state and province.  Note: Some states do not have trust/escrow accounts, so you will not see a link for those accounts below.
• Use of this platform is totally free to agents - there is a $15 service fee for the payer.
• When the payer submits payment, they will be asked for their agent’s email address.  Once the payment is completed, the payer and the agent will receive an emailed deposit receipt. Be sure to upload this deposit receipt to you transaction checklist as Proof of Payment!
• Payload is currently available for agents in Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island and will be available in all 50 states very soon!

How can my client or commission payer make an electronic payment?

Using Payload to make an electronic payment to Real is super easy and takes just a couple of minutes!

First, find the link from the table below for your state or province and deposit type.  If this is a commission, be sure to choose the commission link.  If it’s a trust, earnest money, or escrow deposit, choose the trust or EMD link.  Copy the link and send it to the client or commission payer.

Once they are ready to make their payment, the client or commission payer fills out a quick form.  Please be sure the correct property address is noted - this is how we will know what transaction to associate with the incoming payment.  We’ll also ask for the agent's name and email address.

Next, the payer can choose to pay by entering their bank account information or by using their bank login to connect their bank account.  A $15 service fee will also be assessed. If this is a commission payment, Real will cover the $15 fee just like we do for wire transfers.

Once payment is submitted, both the payer and the agent whose email address was noted in the payment form will receive an emailed deposit receipt. PLEASE NOTE your deposit will not be confirmed in reZEN immediately, but you should see it within 1 business day.  

To ensure we are able to connect the incoming deposit to your transaction, please upload the deposit receipt to your transaction checklist in the appropriate proof of payment checklist item.
