Attraction starts with finding agents who are a great fit for Real.
We’re looking for three things when we invite agents to join the Real team. We seek out people who:
- Have integrity at their core
- Demonstrate industry excellence
- Are ‘Real’ people
Together, these factors allow us to strengthen our foundation as leaders in our industry and attract like-minded agents to the business–further perpetuating the culture we’re working to build.
How to Attract:
- Know the model inside and out.
- Understand the process for how to join real - and be prepared to help agents through the process.
- State the facts–our story is strong without embellishment: rebrand.ly/Real8Ways
- Share your personal why. What brought you to Real?
- Commit to being a sponsor. When you bring someone on, you’re committing to supporting them and guiding them over the long-term.

Things to avoid:
- We don’t compare ourselves or disparage other brokerages (ex. we’re better than x, y, z). That leaves the impression we don’t have anything to offer, but our merits are strong enough on their own. Our model is so powerful, and we have so much to offer, that’s not how we should be promoting ourselves.
- We don’t incentivize individuals to join our networks at the expense of other agents. Anything you’re willing to grant to someone who joins your network should be equally offered to anyone in the Real community. If you begin a sentence with “If/When you join with me…” you know you’re headed down the wrong path.
- A Sponsor may not offer, entice or promise anything of value, including but not limited to lead generation platforms, CRM, coaching, trips, rebates or currency in return for naming sponsoring agent.
How to be listed as a Sponsor:
In order to participate in Revenue Share, you must introduce a licensed agent to Real, explain our business model and potential benefits, and in the licensee's determination, be the one who most influenced them to become an agent with Real.
Please note:
- You must be listed as the Sponsoring Agent in that Agent's Independent Contractor Agreement.
- Once the Independent Contractor Agreement is signed, the name listed will not be changed for any reason. This includes, but is not limited to divorces or an agent leaving a team.
Once an agent joins Real:
You are called a Sponsor because you have a responsibility to each one of the agents you invited to the company to help them be successful. You want them to flourish and grow. It clearly benefits the agent to increase their level of production.
You win because you are earning revenue share and the company wins because we are improving our productivity and hopefully our profitability. Remember, profitability helps our stock value!
Some Tips to be a Great Sponsor:
- Have a weekly standing in-person coffee meeting with agents as a group
- Invite agents to a local Café meetup
- Invite agents to local Real Events
- Schedule 1-on-1 coffee chats / video chats / phone calls / texts
We find the more support a sponsored agent receives, the more likely that agent will be successful and remain with Real.
- Note: The support or mentorship of an existing agent to a new agent should never come with a requirement that the new agent names the existing agent as their sponsor. It is a request and the new agent should never be coerced in any way to choose someone as their sponsor.
