The transaction status in the top-right corner of any transaction helps keep you on track and lets you know what you need to do next to move your transaction forward toward closing. The statuses are color-coded to make it easy to identify any outstanding actions you need to take.
Below, you can find more information on how the color coding works and what each transaction status means.
Note: The information below applies to transactions in the U.S. If you are a Canadian agent, click here for the same explanation for transactions in Canada.
Status Indicator Color Coding
To quickly assess transaction progress and identify necessary steps, the transaction status indicator (located at the top right of the transaction screen) uses a clear color-coding system:
- 🟡 Yellow – Action Required: Action is required from the agent to move the transaction forward.
- 🔵 Blue – In Progress: No immediate action needed from the agent; the transaction is progressing through administrative or system reviews.
- 🟢 Green – Settled / Complete: The transaction is fully settled, and payment has been issued (if applicable).
Transaction Statuses and What They Mean
As a transaction moves through reZEN, it will progress through the following status stages:
| Status | Description |
|
Needs Commission Validation |
Needs Commission Validation is the first status you will see after creating a transaction. Approving your commission calculation means you are validating that the numbers you’ve entered (sale price, gross commission, splits, fees, referrals, etc.) are correct and ready to be used to generate your Commission Document. Be sure all the information you’ve entered is correct in your transaction BEFORE you approve your commission calculation. |
|
Commission Validated |
You have validated the Commission Calculation, but there are still outstanding documents that need to be uploaded and approved in your transaction checklist. |
|
Commission Document Generated |
The Commission Document (CDA) is generated and ready for you to send to the commission payer by clicking Send Commission Document. Note: If you are in a split check state, be sure to hold off on sending your commission document until the transaction has been marked compliant by your broker if you would like to be paid directly at the closing table. |
|
Commission Document Sent |
The Commission Document (CDA) is sent to the commission payer. This is the final status before the closing. Once the closing happens, be sure to upload your final settlement statement to the transaction checklist. |
|
Closing Confirmed |
Closing Confirmed means that our transactions team received notice that the closing happened (most often in the form of an uploaded settlement statement or a confirmed deposit matching the expected amount to Real). To settle the transaction and get paid if you have not already been paid at closing, make sure:
|
|
Waiting to Settle (if applicable) |
Conditional Status: Most transactions bypass this step. You will only see this if our transactions team is working to resolve an issue, are awaiting an additional piece of information, etc.. |
|
Payment Scheduled / Settled |
That’s it, you’re done! Transaction requirements are complete, payment is processed, and the deal is settled. |
