Steps to Take if You Notice Unauthorized Charges on Your Real Wallet Card
If you see any charges on your Real Wallet card that you didn't make or authorize, take the following steps:
File a Dispute with Visa: If you need to file a claim for a refund not received, an item that never arrived, a duplicate charge, or any other unauthorized transaction, you should also contact Visa directly.
Visa Toll-Free Number: 1-833-852-1519
Visa will initiate an investigation into the unauthorized charge(s) and may request the following information from you:
- Name of the Merchant: Provide the name of the merchant where the unauthorized charge occurred.
- Date of the Disputed Transaction: Specify the exact date of the transaction you are disputing.
- Amount to be Disputed: State the amount of money you are disputing.
- Details Regarding the Disputed Transaction: Explain the reason for the dispute. For example, you might state that you have never purchased anything from the merchant, that the amount charged is incorrect, or that you did not authorize the transaction.
- Supporting Documentation: If you have any relevant documentation, such as receipts, communication with the merchant, or bank statements, attach them to your dispute claim.
- Location of the Card: Indicate whether the card is currently in your possession, lost, or stolen.
Additional Information:
- Be Prepared to Provide Your Card Information: When you contact Visa, be prepared to provide your card number, expiration date, and security code.
- Monitor Your Account: Continue to monitor your account for any additional unauthorized charges. If you see any, report them immediately to your card issuer and Visa.
Remember: The sooner you report unauthorized charges, the better your chances of resolving the issue and getting your money back.
