ProTeams: What is a Team Cap?

If your Team Leader charges a split (e.g. 25% paid to the Team Leader on each deal), your Team Leader can choose to stop charging a split after you pay a certain amount - this is the Team Cap. 

• Once you pay your Team Cap, you will no longer pay the Leader's Split. 
• The Team Cap resets every year - on your anniversary date. 
• If your Team does not have a Team Cap, you may see $1M listed.

You can see your Team Cap on your Profile in reZEN:

The Team Cap is separate from the Real Cap. The 15% Split to Real contributes to your Real Cap - whereas the amount you contribute to your team (Team Split) contributes to your Team Cap.

Example:

• Nancy is the Team Leader for the Sold Team.
• Nancy charges a 25% Split to all Team Members.
• However, once a team member contributes $10,000 to Nancy, she will stop charging the cap. 
• Let's say a member of Nancy's team, Bernard, closes a deal worth $10,000 GCI. 
• Bernard pays 25% to Nancy - that's $2,500. 
• Bernard has paid $2,500 of $10,000 to Nancy. 
• Once Bernard contributes $7,500 more to Nancy, he will no longer pay the 25% to Nancy.
