Ontario: How to Transfer MLS Board

Once your license transfer is processed with RECO, Real's Onboarding Coordinator will share next steps for MLS Board Transfer and send all necessary MLS Board transfer forms with you for signature.

The table below was built as a reference to understand the process - you can click on your Board MLS to jump to the appropriate instructions. 

Note:

  • As of October 26, Waterloo Region Association of REALTORS® (WRAR), REALTORS® Association of Hamilton-Burlington (RAHB), and Mississauga Real Estate Board (MREB) merged into Cornerstone. If an agent lists WRAR, RAHB, or MREB on their application, please follow the process for Cornerstone below.
MLS Board Transferring Agents Process New Agents Process

BRREA
  • Real Onboarding will send Membership Change (BRREA) for signature. 
  • Agent must sign.
  • Once signed by Agent, Real Onboarding will submit to info@brrea.com
  • Real Onboarding will send Application for Salesperson (BRREA) for signature.
  • Agent must sign.
  • Once signed by Agent, Real Onboarding will submit to info@brrea.com

BRREA + TRREB
  • Real Onboarding will send TRREB/BRREA Membership Change Forms for signature.
  • Agent must sign.
  • Once signed by Agent, Real Onboarding will submit to info@brrea.com and memberapps@trreb.ca 
  • Your Broker will initiate your transfer with TRREB

  • An email will be sent to you from TRREB to transfer your membership with the board. Follow the instructions provided. If you are NOT a TRREB Member, you can access the forms by using the NON Member Hub from the trreb.ca website by clicking on Resources, for New Brokerage, New Salesperson/Broker process.
  • Real Onboarding will send Application for Salesperson (BRREA) and Membership Application and Agreement (TRREB) for signature. 
  • Agent must sign.
  • Once signed by Agent, Real Onboarding will submit to info@brrea.com and memberapps@trreb.ca 
  • Your Broker will initiate your transfer with TRREB

  • An email will be sent to you from TRREB to transfer your membership with the board. Follow the instructions provided. If you are NOT a TRREB Member, you can access the forms by using the NON Member Hub from the trreb.ca website by clicking on Resources, for New Brokerage, New Salesperson/Broker process.

CLAR

Agent must complete the CLAR change form online:

  1. Click here: https://www.clar-mls.ca/applications/cEtqbzhzRV
  1. Fill out application. Search “Real Broker” in “what brokerage you are transferring to?”

 

  1. Fill out your name, email, and phone number, then click “Next” and complete the rest of the application

 

Agent must complete the CLAR change form online:

  1. Click here: https://www.clar-mls.ca/applications/fHOsLCAEaB
  1. Follow the instructions on the application and fill in where is required

Cornerstone
  • Real Onboarding will send Cornerstone Membership Application for signature. 
  • Agent must sign.
  • Once signed by Agent, Real Onboarding will submit to membership@gdar.ca
  • Real Onboarding will send Cornerstone Membership Application for signature. 
  • Agent must sign.
  • Once signed by Agent, Real Onboarding will submit to membership@gdar.ca

Cornerstone / TRREB
  • Real Onboarding will send Cornerstone Membership Application for signature. 
  • Agent must sign.
  • Once signed by Agent, Real Onboarding will submit to membership@gdar.ca
  • Your Broker will initiate your transfer with TRREB

  • An email will be sent to you from TRREB to transfer your membership with the board. Follow the instructions provided. If you are NOT a TRREB Member, you can access the forms by using the NON Member Hub from the trreb.ca website by clicking on Resources, for New Brokerage, New Salesperson/Broker process.
  • Real Onboarding will send Cornerstone Membership Application for signature.

GDAR
  • Real Onboarding will send Transfer of Membership (GDAR) for signature. 
  • Agent must sign.
  • Once signed by Agent, Real Onboarding will submit to membership@gdar.ca
  • Real Onboarding will send Membership Application (GDAR) for signature. 
  • Agent must sign.
  • Once signed by Agent, Real Onboarding will submit to membership@gdar.ca

GDAR + TRREB
  • Real Onboarding will send Transfer of Membership (TRREB/GDAR) for signature. 
  • Agent must sign.
  • Once signed by Agent, Real Onboarding will submit to memberapps@trreb.ca and membership@gdar.ca
  • Your Broker will initiate your transfer with TRREB

  • An email will be sent to you from TRREB to transfer your membership with the board. Follow the instructions provided. If you are NOT a TRREB Member, you can access the forms by using the NON Member Hub from the trreb.ca website by clicking on Resources, for New Brokerage, New Salesperson/Broker process.
  • Real Onboarding will send Membership Application (GDAR) for signature. 
  • Agent must sign.
  • Once signed by Agent, Real Onboarding will submit to memberapps@trreb.ca and membership@gdar.ca
  • Your Broker will initiate your transfer with TRREB

  • An email will be sent to you from TRREB to transfer your membership with the board. Follow the instructions provided. Lakelands

Agent must complete change form online:

  2. Search and select your current brokerage 
  3. Search “Real Broker” and select branch office that pertains to you - 
  • Lakelands only member: 130 King Street West 1900N Toronto

  1. Fill in the application 

 

  1. Enter Adrienne Jopp membershipcad@therealbrokerage.com as the admin info at the bottom of the page

 

  1. Click Submit

  • Real Onboarding will send Membership Change Form (LSTAR) for signature. 
  • Agent must sign.
  • Once signed by Agent, Real Onboarding will submit to membership@lstar.ca 
  • Real Onboarding will send Application for Membership (LSTAR) for signature. 
  • Agent must sign.
  • Once signed by Agent, Real Onboarding will submit to membership@lstar.ca 

NAR
  • Real Onboarding will send Notice of Change (NAR) for signature. 
  • Agent must sign.
  • Once signed by Agent, Real Onboarding will submit to nar@niagararealtor.ca 
  • Real Onboarding will send Application for Salesperson Membership (NAR) for signature. 
  • Agent must sign.
  • Once signed by Agent, Real Onboarding will submit to nar@niagararealtor.ca 

NAR + TRREB

TRREB:

  • Your Broker will initiate your transfer with TRREB

  • An email will be sent to you from TRREB to transfer your membership with the board. Follow the instructions provided. If you are NOT a TRREB Member, you can access the forms by using the NON Member Hub from the trreb.ca website by clicking on Resources, for New Brokerage, New Salesperson/Broker process.
  • Real Onboarding will send Application for Salesperson Membership (TRREB/NAR) for signature. 
  • Agent must sign.
  • Once signed by Agent, Real Onboarding will submit to memberapps@trreb.ca and nar@niagararealtor.ca 

TRREB:

  • Your Broker will initiate your transfer with TRREB

  • An email will be sent to you from TRREB to transfer your membership with the board. Follow the instructions provided. If you are NOT a TRREB Member, you can access the forms by using the NON Member Hub from the trreb.ca website by clicking on Resources, for New Brokerage, New Salesperson/Broker process.

OMDREB

Agent must complete change form online:

OMDREB + TRREB

  • Your Onboarding specialist will provide the TREB transfer form to you. Please complete both pages and return to onboarding@therealbrokerage.com. We will submit on your behalf. 

TRREB:

  • Your Broker will initiate your transfer with TRREB

  • An email will be sent to you from TRREB to transfer your membership with the board. Follow the instructions provided. If you are NOT a TRREB Member, you can access the forms by using the NON Member Hub from the trreb.ca website by clicking on Resources, for New Brokerage, New Salesperson/Broker process.

  • Your Onboarding specialist will provide the TREB transfer form to you. Please complete both pages and return to onboarding@therealbrokerage.com. We will submit on your behalf. 

TRREB:

  • Your Broker will initiate your transfer with TRREB

  • An email will be sent to you from TRREB to transfer your membership with the board. Follow the instructions provided. If you are NOT a TRREB Member, you can access the forms by using the NON Member Hub from the trreb.ca website by clicking on Resources, for New Brokerage, New Salesperson/Broker process.

OREB
  • Real Onboarding will send Notice of Transfer (OREB) for signature. 
  • Agent must sign.
  • Once signed by Agent, Real Onboarding will submit to Membership@oreb.ca 
  • Real Onboarding will send Application for Membership (OREB) for signature. 
  • Agent must sign.
  • Once signed by Agent, Real Onboarding will submit to Membership@oreb.ca 

SARNIA

 Real Onboarding will email admin@mls-sarnia.cm and copy Agent to initiate the Onboarding Process. To join the Sarnia MLS board, please send an email to admin@mls-sarnia.com  and they will provide you with further instructions.

SUDBURY
  • Real Onboarding will send Membership Application (SREB) for signature. 
  • Agent must sign.
  • Once signed by Agent, Real Onboarding will submit to info@sudburyrealestateboard.com 
  • Real Onboarding will send Membership Application (SREB) for signature. 
  • Agent must sign.
  • Once signed by Agent, Real Onboarding will submit to info@sudburyrealestateboard.com 

TRREB
  • Your Broker will initiate your transfer with TRREB

  • An email will be sent to you from TRREB to transfer your membership with the board. Follow the instructions provided. If you are NOT a TRREB Member, you can access the forms by using the NON Member Hub from the trreb.ca website by clicking on Resources, for New Brokerage, New Salesperson/Broker process.

Real Onboarding will complete the MLS Board Transfer Form on your behalf, send to WECAR, and copy the agent.
