Ontario: How to Transfer MLS Board

Once your license transfer is processed with RECO, Real's Onboarding Coordinator will share next steps for MLS Board Transfer and send all necessary MLS Board transfer forms to you for signature.

The table below was built as a reference to understand the process - you can click on your Board MLS to jump to the appropriate instructions.    

Note:

TRREB DUAL MEMBERS - Please make sure you are registered under the correct branch office address along with the branch code on both boards. See branch information under the MLS board

OREB

Ottawa Real Estate Board

 The OREB Transfer Application will be sent to the agent to complete. Once completed, the agent must send the form and their license certificate to Membership@oreb.ca  Agent must complete New Membership Application and send it to Membership@oreb.ca along with their license certificate

SLAR

Sarnia Lambton Association of Realtors

 Agent to complete Sarnia Transfer Application and send it directly to admin@mls-sarnia.com

Sudbury Real Estate Board

To register with the SREB board, please fill out this Application and send it directly to info@sudburyrealestateboard.com.

TBREB

Thunder Bay Real Estate Board

 Transferring agents to provide their membership ID to the broker. The broker will initiate the transfer with the board New agents will need to complete the online application by clicking here and selecting 'new member application' to join the Thunder Bay Real Estate board

TRREB

Toronto Regional Real Estate Board

Your Broker will initiate your transfer with TRREB. An email will be sent to you from TRREB to transfer your membership with the board. Follow the instructions provided. 

If your previous brokerage already terminated your membership, you will need to do a reinstatement on TRREB. Follow the instructions below:

  1. trreb.ca
  2. applications
  3. click 'forgot password' under non member
  4. enter email
  5. click reset password
  6. follow instructions on email to login
  7. on the left side of your member hub, under "applications" click 'reinstate'
  8. search Real Broker and select branch with code -3840-00 - 130 King St W #1900B, Toronto, M5X 1E3. *If you are a DUAL member, please look under the MLS above to choose the correct branch office*
To register with the board as a TRREB Member, you can access the forms by using the NON Member Hub from the trreb.ca website by clicking on Resources, for New Brokerage, New Salesperson/Broker process.

WECAR

Windsor-Essex County Association of Realtors

 Agent to complete the WECAR Transfer Application and send it directly to membership@windsorrealestate.com Agent to complete the New Membership Application and send it directly to membership@windsorrealestate.com

WITAAR

Woodstock Ingersoll Tillsonburg & Area Association of Realtors

 Real Broker will notify the board of agents transferring to our brokerage Agent must register online by clicking here and completing the application
