How to Create a Lease Listing – Real

The process for creating a Lease listing is similar to entering a sale listing.

However, there are a few key differences.

Follow these steps to create a Lease listing in reZEN:

Step 1: Enter the listing into reZEN by going to My Listings and clicking Create Listing.

Step 2: Enter the address, year built, and MLS number (if applicable) and click Next.

Step 3: Enter the listing type, price, and commission. Be sure to choose Lease as the Deal Type.

Pro Tip: If your commission amount exceeds 1 month’s rent, enter the price for the entire term of the lease rather than the monthly rent as the Lease Price. reZEN will not allow you to add a commission amount that exceeds the lease price

For Example: Brittany is representing the landlord for a lease transaction.
The lease is for 1 year and the monthly rent is $3800.
Brittany and the Landlord agree that the listing commission for this unit will be $5000 which exceeds the monthly rent.
Instead of entering $3800 as the lease price, Brittany will enter $45,600, the price for the entire term of the lease.

Step 4: Enter the Landlord’s information. Be sure to choose whether the property is owned by a person or by a company.

Step 5: Now that you’ve created the listing, be sure to upload any required listing documents so your broker can review them for compliance.

Step 6: Once the tenant signs their lease, click Mark as In Contract to create the transaction. Now that you have a tenant, you can find the rest of the steps to finish the transaction and get paid here: How to Create a Lease Transaction
