After you sign the Independent Contractor Agreement:

Now that you have signed your ICA and paid the join fee, it's time to transfer your license to Real! To initiate this process, follow these instructions:

For Newly Licensed agents 

• A Paper Application must be submitted.
• Please Click Here for the VA DPOR Link to the Real Estate Salesperson Forms and next steps instructions.
• Our Onboarding team will email you the  VA DPOR License Application - 2023 - Form via Adobe Sign for completion. 
• Once the VA DPOR License Application - 23- Form is completed and signed by you in Adobe Sign, we will forward it to dmvbroker@therealbrokerage.com for signature.
• The completed document will then be emailed to you to send to the DPOR. 

For Licensed agents

• Please Click Here for the VA DPOR Link to the Real Estate Salesperson Forms. 
• Log into your DPOR Online License Services account.
• After logging in, click the Salesperson link on the bottom right of the screen.

• Click Activate/Transfer Salesperson or Associate Broker License.

• Click Next. On the following page, select No for both questions and Click Next.

• Click Add on the bottom right of the screen.

• Select Firm from the dropdown menu. Then click Next.

• Enter the Firm License Number: 0226026755. Click Next.

• The new brokerage information should be displayed. Click Next.

• Real Broker LLC information will be displayed again. Click Next.

• On the following page, select No for affiliating with a branch office and leave the Branch Office License Number blank. Click Next.

• Answer the remaining questions, following the prompts and selecting the appropriate response(s). You will then pay the $60 transfer fee. 

Please note: The state of Virginia requires that real estate agents being paid commissions through an LLC are required to have both a business license and a professional license. Both Licensees must be associated with Real Broker LLC. 

**Newly Licensed agents in VA**  

Paper Application must be submitted. Please Click Here for the VA DPOR Link to the Real Estate Salesperson Forms and next steps instructions. Our Onboarding team will send out the  VA DPOR License Application - 2023 - Form via Adobe Sign for completion. Once completed and signed by you, it will forward to dmvbroker@therealbrokerage.com for signature. The completed document will be emailed to you to send to the DPOR.

After completing the above steps:

Your Designated Broker, Dave Kolakowski, and Onboarding Coordinator will confirm the transfer with the Virginia Real Estate Board.
