After you sign the Independent Contractor Agreement:

Now that you have signed your ICA and paid the join fee, it's time to transfer your license to Real!

Existing ACTIVE Licensees

To transfer your existing ACTIVE license to Real, follow these steps:

• If your license is currently active with another firm, you can complete the request online using the Online Transfer Service. This electronic process allows changes to go into effect immediately and does not require the Broker-in-Charge's signature. Your new Broker-in-Charge, John Fair, will be notified via email. 

• If the Online Transfer Service is NOT successful, you will need to fill out the Transfer/Inactive Status Application. Fill out the form entirely, using the following information. Once complete, send to your new Broker-In-Charge, John Fair, at SCbroker@therealbrokerage.com to sign. Once you received the signed form back, email in to the South Caroline Real Estate Commission at Contact.REC@llr.sc.gov, including SCbroker@therealbrokerage.com and your Onboarding Coordinator on the email.

Existing INACTIVE Licensees

To transfer your existing INACTIVE license to Real, follow these steps:

• If your license is on Inactive Status, you will need to fill out the Request for Activation of Real Estate License form. Fill out the form entirely, using the following information. Once complete, send to your new Broker-In-Charge, John Fair, at SCbroker@therealbrokerage.com to sign. Once you receive the signed form back, email in to the South Carolina Real Estate Commission at Contact.REC@llr.sc.gov, including SCbroker@therealbrokerage.com and your Onboarding Coordinator on the email.

NEWLY Licensed

When you passed the real estate exam, you were provided with an application.  Please send that application to the South Carolina Broker in Charge, scbroker@therealbrokerage.com, via an e- signature platform.  Once signed and returned to you please mail, along with the application fee, to the RE Commission.  It takes 5-10 business days to process and issue your license number. 

After completing the above steps:

Your Broker-In-Charge, John Fair, and Onboarding Coordinator will confirm the transfer with the South Carolina Real Estate Commission.
